Having said that, we’re feeling pretty London loving today (amazing what a bit of sun can do), and wanted to share some of what we’ll be missing:
The worlds’ flags on Oxford Street, the breezy open windows at Soho House, Weiwei’s Serpentine Pavillion, the Secret Garden on the Hayward Gallery rooftop (with edible marigolds no less), Martin Creed’s London’s church bells chiming at 08.12 this Friday, and that crazy cool dress sense that only Londoners seem to be able to pull off.
We’re really excited about all the things we have to look forward to when we’re back to and thought we’d share some of those with you too:
We’ll keep spreading the Kapow! love, especially Stateside; working on releasing Seonaid MacKay’s exciting first short story; developing a magazine app; orchestrating another live reading event; and hopefully publishing two new books next year with something seamlessly digital thrown in too. Don’t get over-excited now, it might not all come off, but you know we’ll do our damnedest trying. :-)
While we’re away (Britt will be on the Danish coast in her white socks and Anna will be in Paris wearing all black), our very lovely Kathryn will be keeping the fort, looking after those “heys” and tweeting on Twitter too (look out for #kathryntweets).
Enjoy your hot hot summers. We’re so ready to go.
