VE at Førest marks our second store partnership: finding different ways of bringing our books to life in physical spaces and teasing people to look sideways as they pass the shop windows in their December rush.
Our partnership last year with Vitsœ was all about exploding pages onto Dieter Ram’s 1960s shelves, quite literally. And this year it’s all about unwrapping the fruits of the Scandinavian mid-century home.
And being in a store called Førest, we felt the need to grow our own, with just a tiny bit of fluorescent thrown in (clearly the 1980s beckon). And we even got a forest inspired short story sent to us by one of our readers (Robert Whitfield) who joined us in some glögg toasting. Thank you.
VE at Førest is open until the end of the month, and if you’re in London, go on, pop in, meet the amazing Eva, see our branches grown by the fantastically talented Sabrina Lee Hammon, and smell the sweet fruit of book giving where the forest fairies never bite.
Keep warm everyone
