We’re just back from hand-delivering our contracts to Jonathan Safran Foer’s UK agents. The contract is for a two book deal and well, we can’t quite believe it.

We put a lot into it all: what the contract actually looks like, let alone what it’s inside. We thought about all the contracts we’ve ever seen or been sent and how it’s such a shame how dull and anti-climactic they always feel. So we wanted to bring some magic into the whole thing. We’re probably taking it all way too seriously, but it really feels like we should start how we mean to go on. And it goes without saying that this feels like a helluva (scary) start.
