The Story that Drives

We’ve been having fun roaming around our local streets with Google ZOO and Mercedes-Benz Italy, virtually that is, working with them on how to tell a story that automatically adapts to readers’ conditions in the way that Mercedes 4matic technology does. As part of that roaming, we came up with the idea of a story that drives, commissioning best-selling Italian author Gianrico Carofiglio [https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gianrico_Carofiglio] to write an adventure-laden, surprising road trip story that puts readers firmly in the driving seat.

We’re excited to share The Shape of Clouds [https://theshapeofclouds.eu/], now translated into English, a story where the environment literally adapts to the readers’ surroundings, time and place*, as we follow the narrator on his unexpected life journey.

The Shape of Clouds is a little bit of magic, made to demonstrate Mercedes-Benz’s invisible dynamic innovation, in a way that we hope is rather delightful.

It’s also entirely free, so go and have a play and a roam around your very own streets.

*Our apologies to readers outside of the UK, Italy, Germany, France and Spain, you’ll most likely find yourself roaming an Italian street rather than your own. In Mick Jagger’s own words, we “can’t always get what we want.”
