Great Looking Stories
2015 has been our year of collaborations: from Tree of Codes being made into a wholly new thing in the shape of a contemporary ballet by Wayne McGregor; to our just-wrapped-up Bedtime Stories at Ace with Ace Hotel in London and LA, where we commissioned London and LA based authors to write bedtime stories for grownups for Ace’s in-room radios; to working with Google Creative Labs in Sydney on setting up a digital bookshop for books that cannot be printed, sold on Google Play (called Editions At Play, naturally), which we can’t wait to bring to you in January 2016 when it launches with books by Joe Dunthorne and Sam Riviere, and Reif Larsen.
Until then, you can still grab our very own Don Quixote, re-imagined with photographs alongside the original Ormsby translation, designed by Fraser Muggeridge with hand-lettering by Jon Gray, published to celebrate this notoriously dense, bonkers, completely ridiculous multi-layered story, with an introduction by Ali Smith as icing on the cake. We love it and feel like it’s always been part of our book shelves. We think it might be our biggest spine.
As a general helpful hint to all your postage needs (because we have spent an unusually large amount of time with Royal Mail this week), the last Christmas post for the US was yesterday (sorry guys), last post for Europe is today (oops), and the last post for anywhere in the wide isles of UK is 21st December (loads of time).
Happy Holidays. See you bright eye and bushy tailed in 2016 on the other side. And thank you.
